A Little Compassion

A Little Compassion

                A basket on her head

                She came as if dread

                I was in a hurry

                To make my day merry

She gave a knock and checked

If she could get a consent

She stood there a basket on her head

                She came as if dread

                The door I opened

                In sweat she was soaked

She wanted to sell some prawn

For all her money was gone

She wanted to sell some prawn

To buy something for her little John

She stood there a basket on her head

                She came as if dread

I was in no mood to buy

I did not heed to her cry

                I was in a hurry

                To make my day merry

My reply was a sharp ‘No’

Which to her was a rough blow

                The day’s routine went on

Till it was time to yawn

                That night when I slept

I found that I had wept

                Unaware, I could recall

The lady who came with a call

Perhaps, I could have bought those prawns

So that she could buy something for her little John

That face ,for ever it stayed

In my heart to be weighed

I never saw that face again

For the act from which I could never regain

On Compassion

                            On Compassion

Compassion is a virtue

Everyone has to pursue

To come to others rescue

Whatever may ensue

Compassion is everything

An act of giving

And never leaving

Anyone with unhappy feelings

Compassion should be a passion

For us all to fashion

For our expansion

And Everyone’s satisfaction

Compassion is no unfair dealing

It’s all about healing

To possess meaning

And no unhealthy feeling

Compassion is total surrender

As a good mender

To render and tender

As a great defender

Compassion gives inner freedom

A sign of wisdom

Beyond reason and season

To create an equilibrium

Compassion should be the foundation

For one’s elation

For attaining salvation

And  getting liberation

Let’s practice compassion

The reflection of our love

Let’s practice Compassion

And bind with divine love

For Whom did the Birdies sing?

For Whom did the Birdies sing?

The musical notes of the birds that sing
Oh! What a joyful Spring it brings

In the early dawn of Morn
It is like a new life born

The notes that come from its Soul
Goes deep within piercing my Soul

I wake up in the twilight Hour
To get company for my heart Forlorn

Was the Song meant for me
I ponder with all my glee

It is solely meant for Thee
I could hear the birds Agree

The Face of Beauty

The Face of Beauty

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In what I thought was my Duty

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In all that I could fathom

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In the new-Mown Meadows and Green Grasses

Look for the Face of beauty
In the Majestic Mountains and  the salty sea

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In the Tall Trees and the Deep –Thick bushes

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In the Flying Birds and The Grazing Herds

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In the Red Roses and  the Fanciful Proposes

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In a Cute Child and the Wide Wild

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In Sweet Smiles and  Self Supporting Life Styles

Looked for the Face of Beauty
In Pretty Girls and Sparkling Pearls

Looked  for the face of beauty
In Delicious Dishes and Passionate Kisses

Looked  for the face of beauty
In the Shining Sun and the Glowing Moon

Looked  for the face of beauty
In the Vastness of the Ethereal Blue Sky

Looked  for the face of beauty
In the Eyes of my Beloved

The Beauty that I was looking for
I found it almost everywhere
But I found it more Profound
Deep down in  a Humble Heart

The Vilvam Tree that Survived

The Vilvam Tree that Survived

It stands tall, The Vilvam Tree

I do recall , The Vilvam Tree

Planted as a tiny sapling , The Vilvam Tree

The planter loved the growing sapling

For they said, ’It’s a healing tree’

For they said ,’It kills bad energy’

For they said, ‘It’s a sacred tree’

One day someone chopped it unaware

The root too was uprooted  un-spared

He cried

For it dried

The planter's heart went into sink

For they said, ’It’s a healing tree’

For they said ,’It kills bad energy’

For they said, ‘It’s a sacred tree’

Then the root was somehow put in

With belief that it would shoot up again

With faith and hope that it would regain

One fine day, it did regain

What a Joy!

It stands tall, The Vilvam Tree

I do recall , The Vilvam Tree

Planted as a tiny sapling , The Vilvam Tree

It grew with full foliage

Giving beautiful trifoliate herbage

It grew well to the planters amaze

And on it the sun did  blaze

Last week, I just watched the vilvam Tree

Almost denuded with just few leaves

I chanced upon the Vilvam this morn

With tiny fresh leaves like a new born

It is such a joy to see it spring

The tiny new leaves the branches bring

To watch it would make the planter sing

For the planter it is a precious thing

It stands tall, The Vilvam Tree

I do recall , The Vilvam Tree

Planted as a tiny sapling , The Vilvam Tree

Respect is a Need

Respect is a Need

Respect is giving space
For the other to pace
And render them grace
So that things fall in place

Respect is not controlling the other
Under one’s mighty power
It is to hear the other
So, together you go further
Respect is accepting the other
No matter what the bother
To get along further
With each one another

Respect is a trust
Not to get fussed
To overcome disgust
And be ready to adjust
Respect does manifest
A beautiful mind-set
Makes one get impressed
To Connect and feel blessed

Respect creates an identity
To make  one feel an entity
Creates an intensity
To maintain ones serenity
Respect creates leaders
Who go deeper
To upgrade their followers
And make them not feel weaker

Disrespect can inflict
A sort of insult
Cause us to reflect
With a feeling to reject
Lack of respect creates a pain
Fathomless to explain
One may go insane
Never to regain

Respect is love’s Pinnacle
It takes you to love’s pedestal
Makes the love more comfortable
Spiritual and  more powerful
Respect is vital
Respect is revival
Respect is never futile
Respect should be one’s idol

Respect may seem rudimentary
But it is the greatest complimentary
Required fundamentally
To live contentedly
Respect is to let express
And not to suppress
So as to address
And not to agress

Let’s respect others
Condemn not others
For greater than hunger
Respect has power
Let’s Respect Ourselves
For our own true selves
For Our Self-Actualization
And  to Awaken
