The
cats came I
served |
The
dogs came I
served |
The Peacocks came I served The Squirrels came I served |
The ants came I served Different breeds of birds came I served |
But when the pigs came I drove them away For
they looked dirty All
rolled in mud |
They looked very filthy I
shooed them away I
felt disgusting To
see their filthy body |
Some food for the peacock I had left them on the altar The pig were nibbling them Voraciously at the backyard Eating in all their glee |
On seeing me they fled I could sense the fear All their glee was gone Did I serve them right? |
Those preening eyes spoke millions Did I look so dreadful For pigs to see on fleeing me They needed but a morsel of food |
Hunger it belongs to all creatures equally I could feel their eyes speak I could sense life in them It was then I saw the divinity in them |
Now they come and feed And I don’t shoo them away I keep Something
for them to come and nibble For I now see Divinity in every soul |
